Prestige Beauty Continues Growth in Q3

"Tangible beauty" is driving the category, according to NPD.

In the third quarter of 2016, sales of US prestige beauty products were $3.5 billion, showing a healthy 8% increase compared to Q3 2015 heading into Q4 and the holiday season, according to The NPD Group. Total face makeup grew 14% during Q3, inching ahead of all other makeup categories (eye, lip, and nail). Eyebrow makeup continued to see double-digit growth, with sales increasing by 37%.
